2023 Season Auditions
March 12 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
S3 is excited to announce auditions for our 2023 season! We are attempting something unique and exciting, so we are looking for actors who are willing to stretch their acting chops, take on a challenge, and have some fun. All roles are available, except Hamlet, and we will be casting the actor who can tell the character’s story the best, so everyone and anyone could be cast in any role.
To register to audition, complete the audition form at https://forms.gle/WMG2mD73pBuBNHdBA
Auditions will be held from noon-3:30 pm and callbacks will begin at 4 pm the same day. Please prepare a 1-minute Shakespeare monologue and be ready to read from the script. View the sides here.
Video auditions will be accepted until March 11th. Video auditions should include a Shakespeare monologue and a contemporary comedic monologue.
The S3 2023 Season is taking audiences on an experience that will leave you questioning where reality ends and the absurd begins. This year, we will be presenting Hamlet by William Shakespeare (directed by Dr. Amanda Cantrell and Erick Wolfe) and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard (directed by Pamela Kingsley), and we will be doing it in rep! That’s right–one night will be Hamlet and one will be R&G. One cast, one event, two nights!
All of our artists are paid, and since we are casting once, each actor will receive a two-show stipend of $400.
For those who are concerned, the major roles of the shows are not the same, and many of the characters in R&G use the same lines from Hamlet, so the requirement for line memorization is not overly burdensome.
Questions can be emailed to us at info@spokaneshakespearesociety.org
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French Inc.
